Jennifer grew up in Caledon, Ontario, and has always had a passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential. She completed her Bachelor of Honours in Human Kinetics at the University of Guelph before attending Queen’s University, where she earned her Master’s degree in Physiotherapy. Following graduation, Jennifer returned home to the Orangeville area, where she has continued to build her career and serve families in the surrounding communities.
From her early clinical placements in pediatrics, Jennifer knew that working with children was where her passion truly belonged! Throughout her career, she has gained extensive experience in a variety of pediatric settings, including Children’s Treatment Centres (CTCs) in both Ontario and Alberta, as well as hospital and home-care environments. These experiences have allowed her to work with children of all ages and abilities, supporting their development, mobility, independence, and participation in everyday activities.
Jennifer is committed to continually expanding her knowledge and clinical skills to provide families with thoughtful, individualized, and evidence-informed care. She has completed additional training in several specialized areas, including Cuevas Medek Exercises (CME), Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT), torticollis and plagiocephaly, pediatric gait assessment, gross motor skill acquisition, and infant feeding, to name a few. She continues to pursue professional development each year to stay current with best practices and offer children and their families a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to their individual needs.
Outside of the clinic, Jennifer is a busy mom to three young boys! When she isn't working, you'll likely find her cheering them on in a hockey rink and the Orangeville Dojo, or enjoying the outdoors with her husband, Karl. As a family, they love camping, hiking, and exploring all that Dufferin County and the surrounding areas have to offer.
Jennifer feels incredibly fortunate to combine her passion for working with children with her love of family and community. She looks forward to helping every child build confidence, develop new skills, and reach their own unique summit!
At Summit Kids Physiotherapy, we believe every child deserves care that is tailored to their individual needs. Our approach begins with a thorough assessment, allowing us to learn about your child’s strengths, areas of difficulty, developmental needs, and the goals that are important to your family.
Working together with parents and caregivers, we develop a personalized treatment plan that reflects your child’s needs while taking into consideration your family’s priorities, daily routines, lifestyle, and budget. We want therapy to be meaningful and effective, while also being realistic and manageable for your family.
Our one-on-one treatment model allows us to dedicate each session entirely to your child. This individualized attention helps us build a strong connection, follow their progress closely, and adapt treatment activities and strategies as their skills develop and goals evolve. Our focus is on providing supportive, engaging therapy that helps every child move, grow, and thrive.
